« Update: Charlotte | Main | Things You'd Never Tell Another Soul »

That's a funny coincidence (maybe, nor not), because I just heard this poem on the radio 2 days ago, on Garrison Keillor's short poetry program. It struck me because I am headed to Montparnasse this week for a holiday vacation.

Kristen - Yes, that's where Elizabeth found the poem - on Keillor's poetry website. Have fun in Montparnasse!

Perfect it is indeed. I like it that in the end, we animals are all seekers.

Not to sound weird, but if there is a God and if this God listens to my thoughts I just sent this Supernatural Being a message in my head to somehow send good blessings, to YOU. As a little thank you, for your website/blog. It’s giving me hope. Maybe something will trickle down the highways of heaven and make a final pit stop in Santa Monica. Something good, maybe even for your cat, and I’m not a cat person so I will leave this up to God. I simply hope I can put into writing my thoughts and publish one personal essay in 2010; just one. (I haven’t tired yet). This is where your inspiration comes in from your blog. THANK YOU

Diane Mattes

When you and R hosted our beautiful wedding in September, I had the good fortune of sharing your desk with Stuart while catching up on email at your computer. My experience is limited to Labradors and the memory of being able to hold one in my arms (though heaven knows I still do my best) is distant. To find myself so close to a happy Stuart, as he nestled near the laptop, while sweet Charlotte sat nearby, was a special treat indeed. As is your blog, all the more meaningful having just lost my beloved Bucky at age 13. Love, Diane

Carol - Yes, exactly.
Lisa Marie - Thank you for your comment - not weird at all. I wish you luck with your essay. Start today!
Diane - Your memory of a happy Stuart nestling on this desk has made my day. Sweet Charlotte is doing much better this week - I have classical music playing for her 24 hours a day, and she's getting three meals a day of people food.

Good Poem.

LaurelOct 26, 2011 I am in love, and jealous, and tltolay in awe. Le sigh.I would love to share this with some of my writer friends by reading it at one of our meetings, but only with your permission. If you would rather I not do that I will be sending them here to read the original.

No, I don't think I'll try it. Am on a short fiction push laltey, and waiting for final edits of JINGO (two weeks now; getting antsy ). So honestly without feeling like I'm copping out, can't handle it right now.
