Monica Holloway

Dearest Barbara,
Thank you so much for always being so incredibly supportive and generous.
My teacher and friend, you are too humble. Without you in my life, helping me learn this crazy, unpredictable craft and, yes, cheering me on (cheering all of us on), I would never, EVER have been published in the first place!
You gave me the skills, and most importantly, the courage to send out my work.
I will always be so grateful.
I love and adore you!

Barbara

Love and adoration right back at you, dear friend. And a million congratulations and blessings today!

Jackie Winspear

Just lovely to read about Monica on your blog this morning. Monica probably doesn't know this yet, but I'll be introducing her when she comes to Book Passage in Corte Madera at the weekend. "Local" authors get involved with the bookstore in all sorts of ways, so when I saw Monica listed on the events schedule, and told them I planned to be there - it was a golden opportunity for me to introduce one of the group (so to speak) - and I have always been such a big Monica fan - and of course, a Barbara fan!!! In fact, I saw Elizabeth Aquino at the weekend - realized how much I miss your classes, Barbara!

Lots of Love and here's to Cowboy & Wills!

Barbara

Jackie - I miss you too! I love what you called the class - your writing gym. xxoo

Congratulations to Monica. I remember when she appeared in your class, Barbara, two years ago and gave us a sampling of her upcoming book and here it is. I can only speak for myself, but you are always an inspiration and I look forward to Abercrombie updates and the feeling that I am part of a writers community through your blog. Have hit page 40 of my creative nonfiction book. 500-1000 words every day. Hope to have first draft completed by January. Thank you for all your encouragement. You are one of my angels sitting on my shoulder. Best, Loren
