« Writing Is Not Kentucky Fried Chicken | Main | Why I Love Montana »

Julie Tintinger

I am a should-have-been writer in a little town in Montana, looking for a writing course to get me started. I came across this site and the workshop in Twin Bridges last July. I see you're going to be in Yellowstone this weekend! It's an awesome place in the winter! I would really like to take a class/retreat from you to get me started. What do you have coming up this spring and are you coming back to Montana this year?

Julie I'm making plans for late this summer - I've put your email on the list. You'll be the first to know. Thanks for your interest.

Barbara,do you teach online classes?

Linda - Not right now - I love a real class with live students - but one of these days I might.

O.K so humbug to Valentine's Day, but joy of joys I found a new independent bookstore today for booklovers in the Brentwood Country Mart -- Diesel Bookstore. It has the feel of a real old fashioned bookstore, not one of the big boxes where no one knows the name of a book or author. It's been opened for about 2 months and G-d willing there will be enough people to keep it open. My heart breaks everytime I go by the old space that was Duttons. I understand that they are going to put in a Pilates Studio -- although they seemed to have groud to a halt, and the little coffee shop next door is having problems. I went in there yesterday and the espresso machine was broken. So I think that the book gods are raining down bad things for taking away our "Valentine" to book lovers, book writers, and anyone who believes in independence. Might I wish everyone a Happy Book Day in lieu of Happy Valendtine's Day. Loren

Loren - thanks so much the heads up about Diesel Bookstore. I'd heard of them but didn't realize they were at the Brentwood Mart -
Yes, yes - happy book day in lieu of Valentines -

If you really want to know what Valentine's Day is about, then here's the true story. It's about love. And I believe it's about unconditional love. And who better to learn that from then dogs? I have two incredible dogs who teach me about the art of unconditional love when we visit children in the oncology ward at County USC Hospital for Valentine's Day and every holiday. We've been going for nine years now and I am currently writing about it in my memoir, Sleeps with Dogs!
