Barbara,
I'm so sorry for your loss. The picture you have is beautiful -- exactly how I would have pictured them had I known your mother and Al.

Barbara,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Al sounds like was a wonderful man and it is a blessing that he and your mother found one another and were able to share so many joyful years together.

Thanks, everybody. Yes - this is my favorite picture of them together. My daughter Gillan took it at the Bottle Inn in Hermosa Beach, CA where we had a birthday lunch for my mother. I think it was one of the happiest times of her life.

Barbara, thank you for sharing an important part of your life with us.
I am nearly 69. Your story about your mother and Al is a reminder (some days I need one!) that the best may yet to be. What a lovely and loving couple they were. I am very sorry for your loss.

Barbara

Patty - Absolutely. The best is yet to come.
