Inspiration arrived this morning in my email; Patricia Edie sent me links to the story of a remarkable woman and writer, Elle Newmark. Read her blog post, “Passion is our consolation for mortality”: http://www.thebookofunholymischief.com/ and then her obit: http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2011/jul/01/final-plot-twist-for-local-novelist/
When she died she had just gotten a million dollar two book deal from Simon & Schuster after years of dreaming of becoming a published writer. A sad ending, but her final blog post and her story of reaching success is also incredibly inspirational.
"I think success is finding what you love and then doing the hell out of it." – Elle Newmark
