Has anyone seen A Portrait of Philip in 12 Parts? Whether you like Philip Glass's music or not, you must see this film. I happen to be a huge fan of his work but you don't need to love it to love this documentary.
Here's Philip Glass on a roller coaster, then making pizza (from scratch) in his kitchen in Nova Scotia with his family and friends, and here he is in Germany working on his new opera, here's his sister making snarky comments as she goes through the old family photographs, and here's his darling third wife saying to the camera in wrenching honesty how hard it all is. But why you should watch it is not just because it's a delicious take on a wildly successful career along with the behind the scenes domestic life - but because much of what Philip Glass says about the composing of music is also true of writing. Watch and be inspired.

Thank you for the recommendation. I'm NOT a Philip Glass fan, so I probably wouldn't have seen it, but now I'm going to add it to my Netflix list.

Hi Heather, this is a fantastic sttnmeeat: I write not for publication but because it is my gift and what God calls me to do. I write because I can’t not write. I would love to have you join me at the retreat I'm going to next week in Sedona. Check it out in my recent blog posts. I have been praying for God to use me to share His message with the world. And if He chooses not to, I will be content with writing something that is unpublished that will bring healing to my own heart.Blessings on you as you continue to use your writing gifts for Him.
