Elisa

Hi,
I guess I'll start. If anyone is interested in an online writing group my email is elwaingortji@cbe.ab.ca
I look forward to starting something up. Great advice from your students! Thanks!

Cindy L

While my online professional writing group doesn't critique work, we provide support and share tips on markets and editors we've worked with. We are all members of a national writing organization (ASJA), and decided to "meet" online in a smaller group; there are about 8 of us. The emotional support -- dealing with cranky editors, late paychecks, rejection, etc -- has been invaluable! I always encourage my workshop students to band together whenever they can. It is so hard to work in a vacuum.

Elisa - Have you heard from anyone? Hope you start a group!

Cindy - Great idea.

Susan Bearman

I belong to a critique group (live and in person), but lately I feel like I've outgrown the group. Most are writing picture books, and I am working on a middle grade novel, so the amount of work feels a little unbalanced as well. Anyone interested in starting something online for children's books?

Susan - I hope you find some readers to join you. Let me know how it goes.

Ruby

I would be interested in a group for encouragement. I am not in the class of writers who are submitting work to editors or agents...just journalling and organizing my life notes for later memoirs.

If you are in this stage, feel free to write me: rubyhm@aol.com

Blessings and inspiration!

Heidi

Thanks for spreading the gosepl of natural writing. Using contractions, when they come naturally, makes writing more immediate, intimate, and engaging. Such writing paints vivid word pictures that grab and hold the attention of the reader.
