Jenny R

Thank you, Barbara. Your writing instruction was so insightful and having the workshop in Montana was great - it's gorgeous there.

Denise

Barbara,

It was even better than I had hoped. A week of writing, eating fab food, old friends, new friends, purple Montana sunsets and lots of other local color.

Debra

Hopefully this will be my first of many writer's retreats in Montana. It was wonderful! I learned so much about writing as well as myself. Coming to this retreat as a beginner writer was like jumping into a deep, cold river, naked. But I was not alone as others with a lot of experience helped others like me become better writers. Thank you Barbara for jumping in first and leading the way. Debra
And thank you, Leslie, for the delicious meals!

O.K. Barbara. Next year it will be. This year I went to the Santa Barbara Writers Conference -- not bad. Met Urrea (up for a Pulitzer). He was great. And connected with a good literary agent in New York who encouraged me to submit my manuscript. (Now I have to write it). But sounds like you had the best time, and I love a small intimate group in such a magnificent setting -- such a diverse group. What is that Greer says in his incredible book, "The Story of a Marriage," human pain brings us together. Sounds like you touched on alot of that but you must have had a few good laughs too. Have a great July 4. Best, Loren Stephens

Rob

Barbara, designing the retreat the way you did, with total immersion and few distractions, (except for the rodeo), made for a very productive week that flew by. It was a great experience and I hope you'll do it again next year.

Barbara

Jenny, Denise, Debra and Rob - I missed you and the rest of the gang Monday morning! Yes, again next year. Thanks for helping me make it happen -

Loren - Come join us next June. And yes, there were many, many laughs.

Joanne

I sure miss sitting on that screen porch writing, laughing, and learning. It was one of the most relaxing, inspiring, and downright enjoyable weeks of my life.

Thanks so much Barbara, Bob, Leslie, and all!

Barbara

Joanne - I miss the screen porch sessions too. Thanks for your comment.

Uditrishi

So cool!!!!! You two really get some uiqune clients. I just somehow came across your old blog with posts that go back to 2005. It was pretty cool to see some of your rookie stuff, even though I thought it was awesome and still had that Humphreys look to it. The camp stuff was neat too. I remember you telling that story on how you got started. Hope all is well!

It's hard to come by well-informed people on this topic, but you sound like you know what you're talking about!
Thanks
